What Toys Do You Buy A 4 Year Old Girl That Is Safe To Be Used Around A Newborn Baby?

Filed in Category Safe Toys

I am preganant with my first child and my partner has a 4 year old daughter from a previous relationship, he has never been able to look after her before longer then a night anyway. My partner & his ex made an agreement form him to look after & see his daughter he has to buy new toys and clothes, but i am not sure what toys to buy that is going to be safe to use around my newborn child? I was thinking blocks, but she gets bored easy & goes from one thing to another, so if u have any helpful ideas that would be good!

    congratulations on your baby!
why is he buying new toys and clothes for her?
look for stuff that is not really small anything that can fit through a shot glass is not good for the baby, you can get little peoples stuff, dolls, play food. just don,t get small stuff go and pick out stuff with the four year old that will be for the baby

the newborn is not out and about is she so keep the 4 year old ibin thelayroom with her toys thus keeping her away from hurting the baby because that is really the question you wanted to ask its called sibling rivalery or something like that talk to your pediatrician i think you have a problem and fear that the 4 year old is going to hurt the newborn not good

    Raggedy Ann
Blocks — you can find cardboard or foam blocks that are really sturdy and very lite
Large kitchen set with plastic foods
    Books
    Blackboard easel
    toy piano
Puppets that do not have small beady accents
    Busy Beads
    Jack in the box
The “There was an old lady” doll
    Stacking clown
Go to any toy store web page. Many sites give you ideas by age.
    Good luck

FIRST OF ALL CONGRATS ON THE NEW BABY. AND KUDOS FOR TAKING IN A CHILD THAT’S NOT YOUR OWN. I’M A FOSTER PARENT AND I THINK THAT IS WONDERFUL TO SEE PEOPLE TAKING CARE OF CHILDREN LIKE THAT. ANYWAYS IF YOU THINK SHES GOING TO HARM YOUR CHILD THAN MAYBE SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THAT. YOUR OWN CHILD SHOULD BE YOUR FIST PRIORITY. EVEN THOUGH I KNOW YOU LOVE THE OTHER CHILD.ANYWAYS BUY NOTHING WITH LITTLE PARTS TO IT THAT CAN BE STUFFED IN YOUR INFANT MOUTH. BLOCKS ARE HARD AND IF THROWN CAN HURT THE BABY. IT DEPENDS ON THE MATURITY OF THE 4 YEAR OLD.
